Exquisite. One of my favourite composers. Take just five minutes to still yourself and soak in this song, in its simplicity. Dwell on it. Contemplate it. Stop yourself from switching tabs or checking your phone again, just settle and be quiet in this piece of artwork. Notice the details of the girl’s hair and eyes, the color of the flowers, the light on her hand. Focus on the beauty, let yourself encounter the sublime.
Overwhelming. The spontaneity of these few minutes only adds all the more to its raw, undefinable beauty. Though I do not understand the words , I do not believe that I really need to. There is much to be gained from hearing this.
I am actually obsessed with this song.
My current jam. I recommend taking a few quiet minutes to appreciate the simple beauty of this video, and spend time focusing on the intricate details of the composition and the questions it raises for the viewer when coupled with the song. (Plus, how often does one get to use so beautiful a word as phosphorescent?)
another WLT gem – reminds me of home.
A wonderful cover of my absolute favourite hymn. The lyrics are stunning.
my latest favourite, with a lovely video of the sea.
My younger sister discovered this song and got me into it. now, hearing it takes me straight back to our kitchen, where we’d sit on the countertops drinking instant coffee and talking.
I have listened to it at least ten times a day this week.
